JIBÉ IS A PROGRAM FOR THE UNIVERSAL TREATMENT OF A SUIT AT BRIDGE
By convention south is declarer and plays the suit. North's hand is visible to the other three players. JIBÉ uses the method of the best defence and considers that East-West always play perfectly. Not only do they know North-South's cards but also their strategy.
In classical analyses of suit treatment it is assumed that North-South have the necessary entries. There is no danger in East-West taking intermediate tricks because, if they come back to the suit in question, it can never bring them any advantage.
